San Francisco plans a three-day concert featuring Dead & Company at Golden Gate Park's Polo Fields from August 1 to 3, 2025, to celebrate the Grateful Dead's 60th anniversary. Mayor Daniel Lurie announced that the event aims to honor the band's cultural legacy while boosting the local economy. Up to 60,000 attendees are expected daily, with preliminary projections suggesting tens of millions in economic activity. Lurie remarked, "This is more than just a concert—it’s a San Francisco homecoming," highlighting the event's significance. The proposal will be presented to the Recreation and Park Commission on May 15.

In 2023, a similar event generated $31 million in local economic activity. The concerts will feature food and beverage offerings, a transportation plan, and community engagement to minimize neighborhood impacts.
