Garcia is the COO of the Latino Business Action Network and has a strong background in enhancing Latino entrepreneurship and operational strategies. Maclise, a structural engineering principal at Forell Elsesser, has 18 years of experience in leading large-scale projects while advocating for environmental sustainability. Mayor Lurie stated that their expertise will be essential for fostering a safer city and supporting recovery efforts. Garcia participates in various community initiatives and holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco.

Maclise, a graduate of UC Berkeley, is recognized for her leadership in engineering and has served on advisory committees. The appointments highlight the city’s commitment to engaging community leaders in governance. These new commissioners are expected to drive impactful changes in their respective fields.
