Antisemitic Attack Reported in Marina District Early Saturday Morning

A 27-year-old man was assaulted in the Marina District early Saturday morning by assailants shouting antisemitic slurs around 2:20 am. The victim and a friend were waiting for an Uber when the aggressor began yelling "F*** Jews, free Palestine" and ultimately sucker-punched the victim. Following the initial attack, the victim was kicked multiple times while on the ground. An employee of the nearby Balboa Cafe intervened after approximately 30 seconds of assault, allowing the victims to escape. The San Francisco Police Department quickly located the suspects, resulting in one arrest for assault and a citation for another.

The incident has raised concerns about antisemitism in the area, with the victim's friend, Alana Gans, expressing shock and urging the community to recognize the issue. Reports of similar incidents are increasing, reflecting a troubling trend of antisemitic attacks. Authorities continue to address hate crimes, emphasizing the importance of community awareness and vigilance.
