Rikki's, San Francisco's first women's sports bar, opened its doors in the Castro, drawing a crowd of enthusiastic visitors on opening night. Attendees included representatives from Bay FC and the Valkyries, alongside Mayor Daniel Lurie and District 8 Supervisor Rafael Mandelman. Named after late gay rights activist Rikki Streicher, the bar showcases women's sports memorabilia and motivational quotes, including Streicher's belief that "sports are the great equalizer. " The menu features a range of offerings, such as signature cocktails and unique bar bites, with standout items like the hot chicken "sammy" and house-made beet burger. Co-founder Sara Yergovich expressed her excitement, stating, "I'm over the moon," and highlighted her favorite drink, the Ballhalla, a strong cocktail inspired by the Valkyries.

Rikki's aims to create an inclusive space that celebrates women's sports and the LGBTQ+ community.
