Walk The Block SF, organized by SF Hip Hop, marked its inaugural event in Bayview with about 50 participants aiming to support local businesses and enhance community ties. Mayor Daniel Lurie joined the event, highlighting the neighborhood's leadership and energy, and enjoyed local delicacies from businesses like Yvonne’s Southern Sweets and Lets Eat BBQ & More. The event extended a mile down Third Street, enabling residents to connect, shop, and socialize. Local entrepreneurs shared their stories, including Yvonne Hines, who expressed pride in representing her culture through her bakery, and Monique Hayes, who reopened her restaurant after a challenging period. The gathering attracted longtime residents and newcomers, emphasizing the area's rich entrepreneurial spirit.

Activist Kevin Epps remarked on the importance of showcasing the true essence of Bayview Hunter’s Point. The event aimed to promote health awareness, safety, and unity within the community.
