A 51-year-old man from Daly City has been charged with homicide following the stabbing of a victim in a wheelchair on a Muni bus in San Francisco's Bayview District. The incident unfolded around 4:35 p. m. after an altercation between the two men, leading to the victim suffering fatal injuries. Following the stabbing, the suspect fled the scene but was quickly found by police hiding behind parked cars.

He is also facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon and elder abuse. Muni condemned the incident, emphasizing its commitment to safety and the role of security cameras in aiding investigations. Witnesses provided conflicting accounts, stating the victim was part of an initial assault against the suspect before being stabbed. This incident marks a troubling trend in public transit violence, as it is the second stabbing reported in the Bayview District this year. Investigators continue to review surveillance footage from the bus and surrounding areas to gather more evidence.
