'Hoarder' House In Noe Valley Goes Up In Flames, Two Dogs Killed, One Person Possibly Missing

San Francisco, CALocal News

A fire devastated a house on 26th Street in Noe Valley early Monday morning, resulting in the deaths of two dogs and leaving one resident possibly missing. The fire broke out around 5:27 am and was initially labeled a one-alarm incident. Firefighters faced significant challenges searching for victims due to the hoarder conditions inside the home, which was described as being "fully engulfed. " While three residents were reported safe, one occupant remained concerned about his missing roommate. Video from the scene showed a deck overflowing with trash and debris, complicating rescue efforts.

The San Francisco Fire Department has launched an investigation into the fire's cause. Animal Care & Control removed the deceased dogs from the premises. This incident raises concerns about the safety risks associated with hoarding situations in residential areas.
