Two S.F. sheriffs deputies injured in Mission District car crash

Two San Francisco sheriff’s deputies were injured in a two-car crash at 13th and Folsom streets Wednesday afternoon. Tara Moriarty, a spokesperson for the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, reported that both deputies sustained moderate injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Firefighters arrived at the scene following the collision, which occurred around 2:30 p. m. The other driver involved in the incident did not suffer any injuries.

Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the crash, and an investigation is currently underway. This incident highlights the dangers faced by law enforcement officers while performing their duties in urban environments. The Sheriff’s Office has emphasized the importance of road safety, particularly for emergency personnel.
