San Francisco Sees Two Possible Homicides In Two Days

San Francisco, CALocal News

A double shooting in the Sunnydale housing projects of San Francisco early Monday left one man dead and another injured. Officers responded to the scene around 3 am on the 1900 block of Sunnydale Avenue, finding two men with gunshot wounds. One victim died at the scene, while the other received treatment for a non-life-threatening injury. The police have not released the identity of the deceased or a motive for the shooting. In a related incident, the SFPD reported a suspicious death on Laguna Street Tuesday afternoon, which may also be classified as a homicide.

This death was reported around 3:19 pm, and an initial Citizen app report indicated a person was shot nearby. If both incidents are confirmed as homicides, they would raise San Francisco's total to eight this year, a decrease from 11 at the same point last year. The SFPD continues to investigate both cases to uncover any possible connections.
