Sole Surviving Witness In First Zizian Murder Case Is Infirm, Has Memory Lapses In Day of Testimony
Patrick McMillan, the 81-year-old best friend of Curtis Lind, provided crucial testimony in Solano County regarding the November 2022 stabbing of Lind, who was found severely injured with a samurai sword lodged in his chest. McMillan's seven-hour testimony was part of a conditional hearing due to concerns over his frail health and memory issues, which hindered his ability to identify the suspects. The accused, Alexander Leatham and Suri Dao, faced charges related to the stabbing, which occurred amid escalating tensions over eviction from Lind's property. Lind had previously defended himself against the attackers, fatally shooting one of them before his own murder in January 2025. This case has drawn attention to the so-called Zizian cult and its alleged members' bizarre behavior.
McMillan's testimony highlighted the violent confrontations leading up to the stabbing, including previous incidents of harassment. The cult's activities extended beyond California, linking to other violent incidents across the country. Investigations continue into the group's motives and actions, raising concerns about public safety.
