Mission Local is actively seeking a senior editor to enhance news coverage and manage a team of six to nine reporters. The role requires a minimum of five years of newsroom experience, with a strong focus on producing engaging short, medium, and long-form stories. Key responsibilities include directing daily editorial operations, managing the newsroom's editorial calendar, and overseeing special coverage projects. The senior editor will also contribute to building a feedback culture while participating in long-term strategic planning initiatives. Candidates should be enthusiastic about data-driven journalism and possess excellent communication skills.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $110,000, accompanied by 15 vacation days and comprehensive health benefits.
