On Monday afternoon, Muni's Castro Station faced service disruptions due to a person on the tracks, leading to delays for both inbound and outbound services in the Muni Metro tunnel. Muni announced the situation around 2:30 PM, indicating a safety check was in progress. Reports from a tipster suggested that the individual may have been struck by a train, although this has yet to be confirmed. The San Francisco Fire Department tweeted their involvement, stating they were assisting a person with an isolated injury at Castro Station. Muni later informed passengers that outbound services would be held at Castro Station until the person was safely removed.

Inbound K, L, and M trains may also temporarily switch back at West Portal Station. This incident underscores the ongoing safety challenges faced by urban transit systems and the importance of rapid response protocols.
