Accused Murder Suspect and Zizian Cult Member Accuses Jailers of 'Detransitioning' Her In Court Outburst
Alexander "Somni" Leatham, a suspected cult member involved in the murder of Curtis Lind and the death of Emma Borhanian, caused a stir during a recent court hearing with claims of mistreatment from jail staff regarding her gender identity. This outburst underscored the ongoing tension surrounding the Zizian cult, which has been linked to a series of violent incidents, resulting in six deaths across the country. Leatham's courtroom behavior has previously led to her being handcuffed to a wheelchair, a precaution that was necessary again during this latest appearance. The cult is believed to have targeted Lind due to his efforts to evict them from his property, where they had been living without paying rent. Additionally, Lind's murder is thought to be connected to his previous testimony against cult members who had attempted to kill him.
The Zizians are an offshoot of the Rationalist movement and hold peculiar beliefs about morality and gender identity, alongside a strong vegan ethos. Leatham and another suspect, Suri Dao, are scheduled to appear again in court on April 22. The case continues to draw attention due to its implications for understanding cult-related violence and the treatment of marginalized individuals within the judicial system.
