One man shot, another stabbed in separate Mission District attacks

San Francisco police reported a shooting and a stabbing occurred on Monday night in the Mission District. A man was shot near 15th and Mission streets just after 10 p. m. and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Earlier, around 7 p.

m. , an unknown assailant stabbed a 31-year-old man on the 2300 block of Folsom Street, reportedly in an unprovoked attack. The suspect fled on foot towards 19th Street, and the victim did not cooperate with law enforcement. Police have not made any arrests in connection with either incident. Both victims' injuries are not life-threatening, but the ongoing violence raises concerns within the community.

Police tape remained in place on Folsom Street late into the evening, indicating a continued investigation. Community members are urged to report any information to the SFPD to help address the rising violence in the area.
