Mendocino County Superior Court launches new online portal for accessing case records

San Francisco, CALocal News

The Mendocino County Superior Court has unveiled re:Search CA, a new online platform for accessing court records, which replaces the obsolete Case Information Portal. The previous portal was disabled as it was no longer supported by its vendor. Users are required to register with an email address to utilize the platform's features, including custom dashboards and alerts for hearings and filings. Most civil case records are now available electronically, enhancing accessibility for the public. However, records for certain case types, as dictated by California Rules of Court, can be viewed only in person at kiosks in the Ukiah and Fort Bragg courthouses.

This shift represents a significant advancement in public access to court records, aligning with modern digital practices. The integration with the court's case management software further streamlines operations for attorneys and government partners. Officials emphasize that confidential documents will remain accessible only to authorized users, safeguarding sensitive information.
