Pair of Oakland Women Arrested for Assault and Carjacking In Healdsburg

Two women from Oakland, identified as 51-year-old Davina Humphrey and 24-year-old Amina Vaden, were arrested following an alleged assault, robbery, and carjacking in Healdsburg on Sunday evening. The incident occurred at Byron Gibbs Park when the couple stopped to assist a woman who appeared injured. The suspects threatened the couple with a handgun, striking the female victim in the head, and forced the husband to drive them away at gunpoint. A police pursuit was initiated after the vehicle was spotted on Highway 101, concluding when the husband drove off the road. Authorities are considering serious charges, including kidnapping during the carjacking, elder abuse, and assault with a firearm.

The female victim required hospitalization due to her injuries. Both suspects are being held in Sonoma County Jail with bail set at $1. 02 million each. This incident highlights ongoing concerns about public safety and violent crime in the area.
