Bombs Found in Petaluma Home of Arson Suspect (Who Happens to Be a Former Cop)

San Francisco, CALocal News

Gregory Klemme, a former police officer, was arrested after a search of his Petaluma home revealed homemade bombs and methamphetamine. Authorities detained Klemme in connection with a brush fire on federal land in Sonoma County, where explosives were found in his vehicle. Following a search of his residence on Kresky Way, deputies uncovered several pounds of explosive precursor materials and three completed explosive devices. The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office confirmed that Klemme was charged with possession of destructive devices, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. In a strange twist, Klemme had previously worked as a Brinks truck driver and was once robbed of $100,000 by an ex-police officer.

His arrest highlights ongoing concerns regarding public safety and the potential risks posed by individuals with law enforcement backgrounds engaging in criminal activities. He is being held on $1 million bail at Sonoma County Jail. This case raises questions about the accountability of former law enforcement officers and the implications of their actions on community safety.
