Gunman Shoots Five, Killing Two, Outside Reno's Largest Casino
A gunman opened fire at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno on Monday morning, resulting in two fatalities and three injuries. The shooting occurred at approximately 7:25 am in the valet area, prompting a swift response from Sparks police, who arrived within three minutes. Witnesses reported that additional individuals sustained minor injuries, including one person grazed by a bullet. Police shot the suspect, who is now hospitalized in custody, and his identity remains undisclosed. The Grand Sierra Resort, known for being one of the tallest buildings in Reno, features nearly 2,000 hotel rooms and the largest casino floor in northern Nevada.
