Fernando Castillo Rodriguez, a 23-year-old bakery manager, was shot and killed early Saturday morning at an illegal nightclub in East Oakland. Family members report he was leaving the venue when he was shot. Rodriguez worked at the Wooden Table Baking Company, just two blocks from the nightclub, alongside his mother and aunt. His cousin, Everlyn Roque, praised his work ethic and shared personal details about his life, including his love for metal music and oysters. The Oakland Police Department detained many attendees at the scene for hours while they investigated the shooting.
