29-Year-Old Man Charged With Murder After Stabbing Near SF City College

Sean Collins, 29, has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing incident in San Francisco's Ingleside district, close to City College. The stabbing occurred around 4:12 pm on July 26, leading to the victim being hospitalized with life-threatening injuries before he died. Officers quickly located Collins near the scene, covered in blood, and recovered a bloody knife and a discarded sweater nearby. In addition to the murder charge, Collins faces two counts of child endangerment, although the specifics regarding children at the scene are not disclosed. Collins is set for arraignment on July 30, 2025.

This incident marks the 14th homicide in San Francisco this year, a notable decline compared to the 20 homicides reported at the same time last year. The San Francisco District Attorney’s Homicide Unit is handling the case, which remains an active investigation.
