Vallejo city officials are ramping up pest control measures to combat a recent spike in rodent activity in the downtown corridor and ferry terminal. Public Works crews deployed additional traps and monitored existing ones to manage the rodent population. An expanded street sweeping schedule is currently in effect, with ongoing reviews to determine if more coverage is required. Routine inspections are underway to remove dead rodents from public spaces, helping to prevent infestations. City officials are actively collaborating with local businesses and property owners to coordinate cleanup efforts.
