Tordillos wins San Jose District 3 seat as special runoff election results certified

The County of Santa Clara Registrar of Voters certified Anthony Tordillos as the new representative for San Jose City Council District 3, following a special runoff election. The election, which succeeded an April 8 special election, drew 8,366 ballots and achieved a 17. 73% turnout from the district’s 47,189 registered voters. Matt Moreles, the Registrar of Voters, stated that the office adheres to strict post-election processes to ensure election integrity. Tordillos will officially take office during the City Council meeting scheduled for August 12.
