Man drowns at San Francisco's Aquatic Park Cove, officials say

A man drowned at Aquatic Park Cove in San Francisco on Monday night after calling for help around 8 p. m. The San Francisco Fire Department received a 911 call and quickly deployed rescue swimmers to locate the individual. After a 30-minute search, scuba divers from Heavy Rescue 2 found the man in the water. Despite attempts by medical personnel to revive him, he was declared dead at the scene.

The Fire Department has withheld the identity of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin. This tragic incident highlights the risks associated with swimming in open water, particularly in areas known for strong currents and cold temperatures.
