Ex-Wife of Berkeley Professor Shot in Greece Arrested for Allegedly Arranging His Murder

San Francisco, CALocal News

Greek authorities arrested Nadia Michelidaki, the ex-wife of UC Berkeley professor Przemyslaw Jeziorski, on suspicion of arranging his murder, which occurred on July 4. Jeziorski was shot execution-style in Agia Paraskevi, Greece, a day following a custody hearing regarding their twin children. Police indicated that the murder bore the hallmarks of a contract killing, as the gunman wore a mask and had a getaway vehicle ready. Initially, Michelidaki claimed she had no knowledge of anyone wanting to harm Jeziorski, but her arrest suggests otherwise. Reports reveal that five individuals were questioned in connection with the murder, including Michelidaki.

A significant development emerged when her current partner admitted to participating in the crime at her request, according to Greek media. Jeziorski's brother has launched an online fundraiser to support legal action and ongoing investigations into the case. The couple's troubled relationship included a divorce finalized in 2024 and a restraining order filed by Jeziorski in May 2025.
