San Francisco Fire Department received the emergency call at 2:11 p. m. , arriving almost immediately to find heavy smoke and flames on multiple floors. Firefighters conducted a search for victims, discovering one individual who was pronounced dead at the scene, with their identity still unknown.

The fire was contained by approximately 2:30 p. m. , but traffic on 26th Avenue remains closed for investigation. Fire officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire, and investigators are currently on-site.
