Tyrell Washington, a 15-year-old from Antioch, was tragically shot and killed at a block party in San Francisco's Bayview District on July 4. He was among five individuals shot during the incident, which stemmed from a dispute unrelated to him. Washington was pronounced dead at the scene, making him the only victim who did not survive. His cousin, Lakisha Pettus, emphasized that he was a good kid who did not deserve such a fate. Washington had recently received his driver's permit and was thrilled about his new car.

He had already completed all of his high school credits and was looking forward to starting 11th grade. His family has set up a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses, highlighting the profound loss felt by those who knew him. This shooting marks the 12th homicide in San Francisco this year, underscoring ongoing concerns about gun violence in the city.
