San Francisco, CALocal News

Taz Guest, a 28-year-old San Francisco resident, has been charged with felony assault and sexual battery following an incident in Hayward on May 30. According to police, Guest followed the victim, a 24-year-old woman, and assaulted her after she rejected his advances. He allegedly screamed that he was a pimp and threatened to kill her while claiming to be armed. The victim fought back by throwing a can of Red Bull, causing Guest to flee the scene. Guest was arrested on June 4, and during a police interview, he reportedly admitted to the assault but denied any sexual intent.

His defense argues he is unlikely to reoffend and questions the victim's identification of him, but prosecutors emphasize her prompt 911 call and the physical evidence of her injuries. Hayward police are reminding the public about pedestrian safety concerns following this incident. Guest may face several years in state prison if convicted, with a bail hearing scheduled soon.
