San Francisco's Pride celebrations commence this weekend, highlighted by the 55th annual Pride Parade on Sunday at 10:30 a. m. The parade will begin at Embarcadero Plaza and conclude at City Hall, welcoming spectators along the route. Organizers emphasize the theme “Queer Joy is Resistance” to unify the LGBTQ+ community and allies during the events. The SF Pride Civic Center Celebration will run on Saturday and Sunday, featuring over 300 vendors and performances by artists such as Michaela Jae Rodriguez and Priyanka.

In anticipation of large crowds, transit agencies will increase services, with BART opening early and scheduling trains every five minutes during peak times. Muni will reroute various lines, and both Caltrain and the San Francisco Bay Ferry will offer additional services to accommodate attendees. The annual Trans March will also take place on Friday at Dolores Park, contributing to the weekend's diverse events.
