The City of Renton is set to host the highly anticipated Senior 50+ Resource Expo on September 27, 2024, from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. at the Don Persson Renton Senior Activity Center.

This annual event aims to provide valuable resources to seniors, featuring over 40 vendor exhibits and engaging presentations on crucial topics such as health, finance, transportation, and housing. In its sixth year, the expo has seen significant participation, with more than 700 visitors attending last year. Pre-registration is available online, allowing attendees to secure a spot and ensure seamless access to the event's offerings. The City is also providing complimentary transportation services for Renton residents, making it easier for everyone to attend. Residents are encouraged to book rides with Hyde Shuttle at least three days in advance to guarantee a smooth journey.

Additionally, a recent infrastructure project has improved the downtown area, further enhancing accessibility and safety for seniors. The City of Renton continues to prioritize resources and support for its aging population, reflecting its commitment to community well-being.
