The City of Redmond has introduced the Overlake Intercultural District Passport Challenge, a program designed to promote exploration and support of local businesses in the Overlake neighborhood. The initiative invites residents and visitors to engage with the area’s rich culinary offerings and recreational activities, such as those available at Esterra Park. Participants can earn points for prizes by checking in at various featured locations from now until June 22, 2024. Mayor Angela Birney highlighted the challenge as an enjoyable way to connect with the community and experience the neighborhood’s diversity. The program coincides with the opening of the new 2 Line light rail, making it easier for people to access Overlake Village Station.

To participate, individuals can obtain their Overlake Passport through the designated website and start accumulating points. The challenge not only aims to boost local tourism but also to foster community ties and engagement with the area’s offerings. With exciting prizes available throughout May and June, the program encourages a fun exploration of Redmond’s growing cultural landscape.
