Fernwood man charged in Veterans Day car chase in Pullman pleads not guilty
David Pock, a 45-year-old from Fernwood, Idaho, pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including attempting to elude police and unlawful display of a weapon. The charges stem from a Veterans Day incident where Pock allegedly threatened a woman with a bow and arrow and a lit flare. After deputies attempted to pull him over, he led them on a dangerous car chase that reached speeds of 70 mph through Pullman. The pursuit concluded when Pock crashed his vehicle into a tree after navigating through a church parking lot. Witnesses identified him, leading to his arrest after a brief foot chase.
Court documents revealed that law enforcement found a bow, arrows, a sword, and several knives in his vehicle. If convicted of the most serious weapons charge, Pock could face nearly a year in jail. He is currently held at the Whitman County Jail, with bail set at $100,000 and a jury trial scheduled for January 12.
