UI, LCSC receive millions from state endowment

The Idaho Endowment Fund announced a $7. 25 million investment in the University of Idaho and $4. 2 million in Lewis-Clark State College for fiscal year 2027. This funding is part of a record $117. 3 million distribution approved by the Idaho Board of Land Commissioners.

The Idaho Department of Lands oversees approximately 2. 5 million acres of endowment land, which is held in trust for financial support of various beneficiaries. Endowment beneficiaries include Idaho’s public schools, colleges, universities, and veterans’ homes, highlighting the broad impact of these funds. The investment underscores the state's commitment to enhancing educational funding and resources.
