Will RI's most haunted attraction be demolished? What to know about The Conjuring House.
The Conjuring House in Burrillville will be auctioned on Halloween, attracting horror fans and developers. The future of the property is uncertain, with possibilities such as reopening the attraction, becoming a private residence, or being redeveloped. The town previously shut down the attraction in December after refusing to renew its business license due to issues with the owner's application and reported erratic behavior. Justin Manning of JJ Manning Auctioneers, who will conduct the auction, believes the house is likely more valuable as a business. He noted that despite being listed for auction for less than a week, there has been considerable interest.
Manning predicts the auction could garner unprecedented attention for his 50-year-old company. The auction will take place at 11 a. m. on October 31 at 1677 Round Top Rd. The Conjuring House is known for its haunting history, linked to the Perron family's experiences in the 1970s.
