Mystery Providence movie will close Benefit Street Aug. 18
Charlestown Productions will film a major motion picture in Providence on August 18, leading to street closures affecting Angell, Thomas, and Benefit Streets from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. The filming will feature a cyclist riding in front of the Providence Art Club, as confirmed by gallery manager Michael Rose.
Minervini, the assistant location manager, communicated details to residents, although the specifics regarding closures on Benefit Street remain uncertain. The filming location includes 110 Benefit Street, situated outside the primary closure area. The Providence Journal has reached out to the city for confirmation of the closures and to clarify the status of other filming locations. This production marks a significant event for Providence, as the city has hosted various film projects in the past. Local businesses and residents may experience disruptions due to the planned street closures during filming.
