Is a 2nd major movie about to shoot in Providence? East Side residents get filming notices
Warner Bros. will film an unnamed movie in Providence, Rhode Island, on August 16, 2025, according to flyers distributed to Benefit Street residents. Charlestown Productions, the production company, is seeking local properties for filming, offering compensation for driveways, indoor spaces, and outdoor areas. Olivia Minervini, the assistant location manager, has prior experience with Rhode Island productions, including "Ella McCay," which filmed last year. The local film industry has been awaiting another significant project this summer, but no announcements have been made until now.
The production plans to collaborate closely with local authorities to ensure a smooth filming process. Warner Bros. is also set to release M. Night Shyamalan's "Remain" in October 2025, produced by a different company. Steven Feinberg of the state Film & Television Office could not be reached for comment on the new project.
This development highlights Rhode Island's growing appeal as a filming location for major studio productions.
