Partnership for Rhode Island hires CEO of Northern RI Chamber of Commerce
Elizabeth Catucci has been named executive director of the Partnership for Rhode Island, moving from her previous role as president and CEO of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce. The announcement came on July 16, 2025, as she takes over from Thomas Giordano, who received a total compensation package of $309,163 in 2023. Catucci plans to concentrate on business attraction and ensuring workforce development, education, and infrastructure improvements are prioritized by state leaders. The Partnership for Rhode Island, a nonprofit CEO roundtable, includes major employers like CVS Health and Bank of America, collectively employing tens of thousands of residents. Catucci highlighted the commitment of these organizations to bolster the local economy and create competitive industries.
In March, Giordano noted the Partnership's success with "CompeteRI," a program aiding grant writing and federal funding, which helped secure a $17 million grant for infrastructure improvements. Catucci's leadership is expected to build on this strong foundation. This shift in leadership reflects a broader strategy to enhance Rhode Island's attractiveness for businesses and residents alike.
