Were ready to keep you hydrated this summer

Portland, ORLocal News

The Portland Water Bureau is implementing its seasonal supply planning to maintain adequate water availability for residents during the summer. This initiative ensures that both local residents and wholesale customers receive reliable water service as temperatures rise. Starting June 3, 2025, customers using credit or debit cards for utility payments will face a 2. 95% processing fee, prompting the bureau to encourage direct bank account payments as a fee-free alternative. In conjunction with these utility updates, the city will close most offices on June 19 to honor Juneteenth, a day commemorating the end of slavery in the United States.

The call center will reopen on June 20 at 8 a. m. , providing essential support for residents. Scheduled maintenance on the payment website is set for June 21, which will temporarily disrupt online bill payments. These actions reflect the city’s efforts to balance service continuity with cultural recognition.

Overall, the seasonal water planning and payment updates aim to enhance service efficiency for Portland residents.
