Olivia, a 7-year-old therapy dog, recently gained recognition for saving the life of a puppy named Jaxon by donating blood at DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital. After his owner rushed him to the hospital for eating rat poison, Jaxon urgently needed a blood transfusion. Olivia's timely donation made it possible for Jaxon to receive the blood just as his condition worsened. Owner Kathy Gillepsie described Olivia's cheerful attitude during donations, which occur every few months. With a critical shortage of canine blood donors in the U.
