Multnomah County Chair Jessica Vega Pederson announced a $250,000 investment in nine projects aimed at revitalizing neighborhoods in Portland. These grants, allocated in the FY25 budget, focus on enhancing economic activities and community engagement across four districts. The Lloyd Ecodistrict received the largest grant of $49,562 for a civic engagement event at Holladay Park. "These investments in small businesses and vibrant neighborhoods are key to our region’s economic health," Pederson remarked. Other funded projects include cultural events and capital improvements, emphasizing the role of local organizations in community development.

District officials highlighted the potential for increased foot traffic and community connection through these initiatives. The funding will support diverse events, from art galleries to business boot camps. Overall, these efforts aim to create a more welcoming and vibrant business environment in Portland.
