Driver arrested in Beaverton road rage crash on Hwy 26 Charged with hit-and-run, assault

Samir Pazzoto-Filho was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and hit-and-run after crashing into a motorcycle rider during a road rage incident on Highway 26. The collision occurred at 6:15 a. m. on Monday, between the Highway 217 interchange and Cedar Hills Boulevard, and was recorded by another driver's dashcam. The motorcycle rider sustained injuries but has since been released from the hospital, according to his sister, who described the footage as distressing.

She stated, “You literally tried to kill him,” highlighting the severity of the incident. Pazzoto-Filho was arraigned on Tuesday morning, facing multiple charges, including unlawful use of a weapon. Portland Police confirmed they are still investigating and are looking for eyewitnesses to provide further information. Authorities released a photo of Pazzoto-Filho, urging anyone with knowledge of his reckless driving before the crash to come forward.
