A significant drug bust occurred on March 30 in Gresham, Oregon, where federal authorities arrested Kevin Jared Olsen and Kristi Olsen during the operation of an illicit drug market. This market, known locally as "Dank Gas Parties," reportedly drew large crowds each weekend for the sale of various controlled substances, including MDMA, cocaine, and psilocybin mushrooms. Investigators executed a search warrant at the Olsens' home, uncovering numerous firearms and leading them to a property where the drug vendors were operating. Kevin Olsen, a convicted felon, is facing serious federal charges, including possession of a firearm and maintaining a drug-involved premises. Neighbors had expressed concerns about the disruptions caused by the Olsens’ activities, noting threats of harm from Kevin Olsen.

One neighbor shared that the street had previously been a safe environment for families, highlighting the community's relief at the federal intervention. The Department of Homeland Security is actively managing the investigation, with the potential for further charges against Kristi Olsen remaining unclear. The bust underscores the ongoing challenges that rural communities face regarding drug markets and public safety.
