A tragic two-car collision on South Kropf Road in Clackamas County resulted in the death of Tyler Ryan Sahnow, a 40-year-old man from Beaverton. The incident occurred on March 28, 2025, when deputies arrived at the scene shortly after 5:00 p. m. They discovered a 2017 Chevrolet Suburban overturned in a ditch, where the driver, a 37-year-old woman, and her 6-year-old son were found receiving medical care for non-life-threatening injuries. The other vehicle involved, a 2012 Chevrolet Express work van, was located on the opposite side of the road.

Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, Sahnow was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators from the Sheriff's Office's CRAFT team are looking into the possibility that the van may have veered from its lane, contributing to the fatal head-on collision. Authorities are also considering impairment as a potential factor in the crash. The Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with information to contact their tip line to assist in the ongoing investigation.
