Missing 79-year-old woman last seen in Milwaukie has been found

Penelope Stanley, a 79-year-old woman who went missing from Milwaukie, Oregon, has been found safe in Mount Hood National Forest. She was last seen on Monday evening at Providence Milwaukie, and her phone's location services indicated that she was in Estacada shortly thereafter. The Washington County Sheriff's Office had made a public appeal for help in locating her, emphasizing her need for critical medications. On Wednesday night, a concerned citizen discovered Stanley's car in the national forest and reported it to authorities. Clackamas County officers quickly responded, locating Stanley alive and well nearby.

Officers were attending to her and awaiting an ambulance at the time of the report. The sheriff's office highlighted that Stanley may have been acting on delusional beliefs, which raised concerns for her safety. This incident underscores the importance of community vigilance in locating missing persons, particularly vulnerable individuals.
