A captivating meteor fireball illuminated the skies over western Oregon late Monday night, drawing attention from hundreds of residents who shared their sightings on social media. Occurring around 10:45 p. m. , the fireball was described as a bright green flash, with some witnesses noting a yellow tail trailing behind it. Eric, a Longview truck driver, captured the moment on his dashcam and expressed his initial confusion about the sight.

Security camera footage also contributed to the evidence of the fireball's passage. Many social media users have shared their experiences, contributing to a growing collective narrative about the sighting. This rare astronomical event has sparked interest and curiosity, highlighting the connection between natural phenomena and community engagement.
