Eyewitnesses reported that the victim managed to escape and seek help, while Ascencio-Molina attempted to flee the scene and steal the victim's vehicle. Sheriff’s deputies were alerted and apprehended the suspect, who is now held at the Clackamas County Jail. He faces several severe charges, including first-degree robbery, first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, and attempted murder in the second degree.
