Man dead after shooting in Portland's Lloyd District

On September 10, 2024, Portland police responded to a shooting in the Lloyd District that left 44-year-old Anthony J. Garland dead. The incident occurred around 5:30 p. m. near the intersection of Northeast Grand Avenue and Northeast 6th Avenue, where officers discovered Garland's body upon arrival.
