Jamii Court Reaches Financial Closing
Jamii Court has secured financing, enabling the construction of 96 affordable homes in the West Portland Park neighborhood. Community Partners for Affordable Housing leads the project, featuring 49 deeply affordable units, including 15 for Permanent Supportive Housing aimed at those exiting homelessness. Urban League of Portland and HAKI Community Organization will provide essential resident services. The development boasts amenities such as community rooms, a lending library, and flexible outdoor spaces with fruit trees. Backed by the Metro Housing Bond, this initiative aligns with Portland's broader efforts to enhance affordable housing availability, with over 500 homes opened in 2025, aiding more than 5,300 residents.
The project received Portland Clean Energy Community Benefit Funds to improve energy efficiency. The design comes from LRS Architects, with O'Neill/Walsh Community Builders serving as the General Contractor. This development reflects a significant commitment to addressing housing needs and supporting community well-being.
