Kafoury Court has opened in Northeast Portland, providing 40 units of Permanent Supportive Housing aimed at assisting individuals exiting homelessness. The development consists of five studios and 35 one-bedroom apartments and includes features such as balconies, sunrooms, and community rooms. Funded in part by the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF), the project incorporates energy-efficient elements, including heat pumps and low-flow fixtures. The building's design, created by Design Research Office, emphasizes sustainability with a solar-ready roof. Wraparound services from PCRI and the Northwest Pilot Project support residents, addressing their comprehensive needs.

This initiative responds to the critical shortage of affordable housing options in the city. The project also highlights Portland's commitment to energy efficiency and sustainable building practices. Kafoury Court represents a collaborative effort to improve living conditions for vulnerable populations in the community.
