No administrative appeals to be considered during weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's

Portland, ORLocal News

The Administrative Appeals Board in Portland will not hold meetings on Nov. 26, Dec. 24, and Dec. 31, as announced by city officials. This decision responds to historically low appeal volumes and staffing challenges during the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's holiday weeks.

Despite the cancellations, appeal submissions must still be made by 9 a. m. on the Thursday preceding any scheduled meeting. Portland Permitting & Development appreciates the understanding of applicants in light of these changes. The reduced meeting schedule aims to optimize staff availability during a time when many are on vacation.

This adjustment reflects broader trends in administrative procedures during holiday periods. Applicants are encouraged to visit the city’s website for more information on filing code appeals. Such measures ensure the efficient processing of appeals while accommodating holiday schedules.
