State Fire Marshal Mariana Ruiz-Temple warned that triple-digit temperatures and red flag conditions could worsen the situation. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and assist neighbors, particularly the elderly and those with animals.

The Emergency Conflagration Act was enacted Friday morning, allowing for the deployment of additional firefighting resources from Lane, Marion, and Washington counties.
